Motivations Counseling provides counseling, EMDR therapy, immigration psychological evaluations, ESA evaluations, and career assessments in Sugar Land, Katy, and through telehealth across Texas.

Therapy Rates

Standard Counseling Session Fees

Standard psychotherapy sessions are 45 minutes long. Extended sessions may be available, and your therapist can discuss options and pricing when appropriate.

Individual Counseling

Adult counseling, teen counseling, anxiety therapy, depression counseling, stress support, and trauma-informed therapy.

Couples & Family Counseling

Relationship counseling, communication support, family conflict support, parenting stress, and emotional repair.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy and trauma-informed support for distressing memories, trauma responses, anxiety, and emotional triggers.

Evaluation Rates

Evaluation & Report Fees

Evaluation fees include the clinical evaluation appointment and production of a final letter or report. When authorized, fees may also include appropriate coordination with attorneys, apartment managers, universities, or other relevant parties.

Payment

Payment Options

Cash, check, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted for payment. Payment is due at the time of service.

If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), we can accept payment using the card provided by your health insurer.

Insurance

Out-of-Network Insurance & Superbills

Motivations Counseling is an out-of-network insurance provider. Services offered by licensed therapists are often covered by many mental health insurance plans as out-of-network benefits.

We can provide a superbill after services have been received. A superbill is a specialized invoice that includes procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and service dates that your insurance carrier may need for reimbursement.

Easy Reimbursement Support

Submitting Out-of-Network Claims

Motivations Counseling has partnered with Reimbursify, an app designed to help clients submit out-of-network insurance claims. After a therapy session, you may request a superbill from your therapist and submit your claim through Reimbursify.

1. Request a Superbill

After your therapy session, ask your therapist for a superbill containing the information your insurance company may need.

2. Submit Your Claim

You may submit your superbill directly to your insurance company or use a reimbursement app such as Reimbursify.

3. Follow Your Plan Rules

Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan, deductible, out-of-network benefits, and insurance carrier policies.

Limited Reduced Fee Availability

Reduced fee services may be available on a limited basis. Availability can depend on clinician schedule, service type, and current practice capacity.

Cancellation Policy

24-Hour Notice Required

A notice of 24 hours is required for all cancelled or rescheduled appointments. Without 24-hour notice, you may be charged the full cost of the session.

Common Questions About Fees

How much does therapy cost?

Standard 45-minute therapy sessions are $150 for individual counseling, couples and family counseling, and EMDR therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

Motivations Counseling is an out-of-network insurance provider. We can provide superbills for eligible services so clients may seek reimbursement from their insurance company when applicable.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. If you have a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account card, we can accept payment using the card provided by your health insurer.

How much is an immigration psychological evaluation?

Immigration evaluations are $650 for non-asylum cases in English and $850 for asylum cases in English. Interpreter-supported evaluations and expedited delivery require calling for additional information.

How much is an ESA evaluation?

ESA evaluations are $99. A letter is provided only if the client clinically qualifies after the evaluation process.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 24-hour notice is required for cancelled or rescheduled appointments. Without sufficient notice, the full session fee may be charged.
